The right pressure for the surface

The right pressure for the surface

Moss, algae, mildew and grime off siding, decks, concrete, fences and roofs — without driving water behind your cladding or stripping the grain out of your cedar.

Serving Whatcom and Skagit County since 1997

Two different tools

Pressure washing and soft washing are not the same thing.

High pressure is correct for concrete, brick and heavy grime on hard surfaces. It is the wrong tool for painted siding, cedar, composite decking and roofing.

Turn high pressure on those and you drive water behind the cladding, raise the grain, and take the surface off along with the moss. Soft washing uses low pressure and the right cleaning solution to lift biological growth without damage.

Knowing which one your property needs is most of the skill, and in a climate this wet it is the difference between a clean house and an expensive repair. Book washing on its own, or as the first step of an exterior repaint.

Based in Bellingham, we wash homes and businesses across Whatcom and Skagit County.

Pressure washing and soft washing are not the same thing.
Why it matters here

Moss holds water against your house.

Left through one Whatcom County winter, growth becomes rot, failed paint and a real repair bill.

Stops damage before it starts

Moss, algae and mildew hold moisture against your building. Left alone through a wet winter that becomes rot, failed paint and real repair bills.

Protect your investment

Biological growth and staining age a building visibly. Removing it restores the appearance and protects the value underneath.

Better air around the house

Allergens build up on siding, decks and walkways. Occupants notice — coughing and sneezing that tracks back to what is growing on the exterior.

Makes the repaint last

Coatings will not bond to a dirty or mossy surface. Every exterior we paint gets washed first. It is the reason our prep holds.

Super impressed with their work on our exterior. They were able to fit us in at the last moment and did a fantastic job. No mess and their painters are super polite.

Exterior wash, Bellingham

Washing on its own, or before a repaint.

Tell us what needs cleaning and roughly how big it is. A couple of photos of the worst elevation helps.

If a repaint is on the cards this year, say so — washing is step one of that scope anyway and it is cheaper done once.
